There are many places for you to dine along the trail, or you may have lunch or dinner with us. If you are looking for places to eat after the winery closes, here are a few local places that we recommend. The map below is provided for you convenience

Getting Around On The Wine Trail

We support the designated driver program and want you to have the best experience at StarView as well as during your stay in Southern Illinois. To ensure that you have the best trip, we recommend several tour operators who can customize a Wine Trail or Southern Illinois experience for you.

Local Attractions

When you come to visit StarView Vineyards and as you travel along the Shawnee Hills Wine Trail, make sure you save time to visit the orchards, markets & other hidden gems of Southern Illinois.

Bison Bluffs Farms Many people notice that several times each year there are bison grazing in the field across from the vineyard. Clifton Howell has over 350 bison that roam on his 1,000+ acres of land!

Flamm Orchard Visit for quality peaches & apples & seasonal fruit cobbler.

Rendelman's Farm One of the oldest local orchards, growing quality fruit since 1873. Visit the market for fabulous jams, jellies and smoothies.

The Shawnee National Forest Bluffs millions of years old stand guard over forested hill country. Cliffside vistas and interesting outcroppings draw thousands of people each year. Popular attractions include Garden of the Gods, Stone Face, Little Grand Canyon and their hiking trails. Inspiration Point Bluff rises 300 feet above the Mississippi River bottom land at the LaRue-Pine Hills/Otter Pond Research Natural Area.
